One day you get the error  500 – Internal server error  when entering your webpag! You didn’t change anything on your DotNetNuke 7.x (DNN) Installation with a DB running on SQL 2008 express.

You realize that the Database reached it’s 10 GB limit and this because of a lot of “Scheduler Exception” events.  Here I show how to solve this problem!

Disk input/output (I/O) performance is the single biggest constraint on database performance in the SharePoint world.

Running SharePoint on an underpowered or poorly designed SQL Server environment will slow performance throughout the farm.
Because it's equally important to make sure SQL Server databases are kept highly available, some level of disk redundancy is usually factored into physical designs for database servers. Disk redundancy is often classified by RAID levels.

With SQL Server 2012, Microsoft also released 4 different SQL Server 2012 Express Editions. These Express editions are free editions and often used for internal databases or third party products.

They are free but also have several limitations!
