 One day you get the error 500 – Internal server error when entering your webpag! You didn’t change anything on your DotNetNuke 7.x (DNN) Installation with a DB running on SQL 2008 express. You realize that the Database reached it’s 10 GB limit and this because of a lot of “Scheduler Exception” events. Here I show how to solve this problem!

 I write my blog entries with Windows Live Writer. When I write it in “one step” and publish it, everything works fine and only the “Read More >>” link is displayed! But when you change something in the title and publish it again, an additional “PermaLink” entry is created. Here I explain, how to remove this unnecessary link again.

After I switched from my Microsoft Forefront TMG (2010) Firewall to Sophos UTM (9) my Syntax Highlighting  in the DotNetNuke (DNN) Blog Module posts didn’t work any more. The JS / CSS files needed are externally hosted! So a new firewall rule is necessary to solve this issue!

From time to time, new DotNetNuke versions are released.   You get the information from the DotNetNuk e homepage or on the host configuration – page (see right picture above) when you have the “Check For Upgrades?” – Checkbox activated. In this Post I describe all the steps (also the backup stepts before the upgrade) to update your DotNetNuke installation.
