Remove PermaLink below DotNetNuke Blogpost Entry
Friday, October 17, 2014 6:08 PM
When I create a new DNN Blog Post with Windows Live Writer, I start with setting the right categories, the publishing date and the desired tags. Then I try to find a “good title” for the post (highlighted in yellow in the following picture)
After everything is written, the pictures and (PowerShell) Code Snippets are inserted at the right place, I “Publish” the post.
Then I had the idea to change the title within Live Writer or something in the Text. In this case I removed ‘ – ‘ (dash) signs and ‘ “ ‘ (double quotation marks) and published the post again. Then
|instead of this |
|the following was displayed |
with this not used “PermaLink” entry.
How to I get rid of this?
This is easy!
1.) Login to your DNN Portal and switch to the “Blog” Page
2.) Edit the Page
3.) Open the Module Options quite at the top (the pencil symbol)
4.) Scroll down to the “SEO settings” section
5.) Press the “Regenerate all Permalinks for this Module” Link
6.) Press “update” at the bottom
Stop editing ….. logout …. refresh … and the “PermaLink” is gone!!! Why this happen I didn’t find out but it’s seems to happen after a change in the title followed by a republishing.
Here is a picture of the SQL “dbo.Blog_Entries” table where you can she the PermaLink field.
