How To Find Out your SQL Server Build Numbers

Each different Version of a SQL Server has it’s own Build number.
In the following table, you can find all the Versions from SQL 2000 RTM to SQL 2012 SP1

The SQL Server Management Studio is the tool to find out your current version
When you open the Query Editor and run one of the following T-SQL queries, you get the current SQL Server version:
SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('productversion'), SERVERPROPERTY ('productlevel'), SERVERPROPERTY ('edition')
You will get the following result:
